The Friends are now able to offer a concert trip for our members as part of a 3-day tour,<\/p>\n

In March 2020, DR VokalEnsemblet will be travelling to London. A very exciting tour where you can get an insight into the choir's work before and during a tour.<\/p>\n

The tour will take place with the 18 singers of VokalEnsemble, chief conductor Marcus Creed, artistic director Michael Emery, production manager Peter T\u00f6nshoff and our own Milena Nielsen, who will take great care of you<\/p>\n

Before the tour, the Vocal Ensemble would like to invite you to attend 2 rehearsals with DRVE:<\/p>\n

26 February 11am - 3pm<\/p>\n

24 March 11am - 3pm<\/p>\n

At these rehearsals we will introduce you to the singers - and vice versa - in the hope that you will feel a greater connection to the choir while we are on a \u201djoint tour\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

10.30 departure from Kastrup with British Airways then bus to<\/p>\n

Hotel Hilton Olympia Kensington (Arrival around 14:00)<\/p>\n

Afternoon free in London<\/p>\n

19.30 Concert at Cadogan Hall, London<\/p>\n

After the concert, you are invited to a reception with DRVE and British partners\/embassy etc.<\/p>\n

After the reception, there will be bus transport back to the hotel for those who wish.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Friday 27 March:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The morning is free in London<\/p>\n

12.30 bus to Oxford (approx. 1.5 hours) then free in Oxford all afternoon.<\/p>\n

19.30: Concert in the Chapel of Merton College, Oxford                                                                                                                                       <\/p>\n

After the concert, we all return to the hotel in London by bus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Saturday 28 March:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Morning free in London.<\/p>\n

12:30: Bus to Heathrow Airport<\/p>\n

16.05: Flight back to Copenhagen where we land at 19.05 (British Airways)<\/p>\n

The London hotel is a 10-minute walk from Kensington High Street tube station - from where it takes about 15 minutes to get to Westminister Abbey, the Thames, The Shard etc.<\/p>\n

In the area around the hotel there are many restaurants and cosy caf\u00e9s. See the programme for the concerts at the bottom here.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The price for participation in this tour is<\/p>\n

1 person in single room : 8000 Dkr<\/p>\n

2 people in a double room 14.000 Dkr<\/p>\n

The price includes flights, hotel with breakfast, shared bus transport in England, concert tickets for both concerts and a sightseeing tour of London on one of the days. All you need to provide is lunch and dinner on the tour and your own transport in London if you wish.<\/p>\n

Due to flight tickets and hotel bookings, we need binding registration by 30 October at the latest, but due to the limited number of participants, it will be first come, first served. As soon as all seats are filled, we will write to you all and inform you of this. If not enough people sign up, we may be forced to cancel the trip.<\/p>\n
