It has been 38 years since she joined DR after completing her studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and in Paris. This brought the number of women in the orchestra from seven to eight.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to music, Ulla Knudsen has been active for a number of years on the orchestra's board, where she has also been a meticulous accountant.<\/p>\n<p>Ulla Knudsen doesn't want to play in an orchestra anymore, but she is no stranger to continuing her great love of chamber music over the years, she says backstage after playing the last piece with the orchestra, Musorgsky's Exhibition Pictures.<\/p>\n<p>Orchestra and Concert Hall Director Kim Bohr writes about chamber music in connection with his retirement:<\/p>\n<p>The Con Anima chamber ensemble in particular has benefited from her beautiful and calm viola playing at countless concerts over the years.
