Instrument: Viola<\/p>\n

I started violin lessons at the age of 5 at the local music school using the Suzuki method.<\/p>\n

I joined DRSO in 2012.<\/p>\n

I love playing opera, unfortunately there's too little time for that. I also enjoy chamber music. My latest project is the viola d'amore, a string instrument with 7 strings and 7 resonating strings the size of a viola. The sound is a bit hoarse but resonates with overtones due to the many strings.<\/p>\n

I like listening to classical and jazz music the most.<\/p>\n

The hardest thing I ever played was Gy\u00f6rgy Ligeti's \u201cMysteries of the Macabre\u201d .... on mandolin!!!<\/p>\n

My name is Marianne Mailund Heuer
\nwas born in 1982 in Aalborg and is a soprano<\/p>\n

I started with a bachelor's degree in music from Aalborg University, where
\nI attended from 2003-2006. Here I received both singing lessons and enormous
\na lot of knowledge about music theory and history, which greatly benefits me
\ngood as a performing singer. In 2006 I started at the conservatory in
\nAalborg specialising in classical singing and singing pedagogy. In 2011 I took
\nmy final exams in Aalborg and won my current position in
\nDRKK in the same year.<\/p>\n

I sing a lot with Bo Holten and Musica Ficta alongside DRKK,
\nincluding on several CD recordings - both as a choir singer and soloist.
\nLike most other classical singers, I am also employed as a
\nchurch singer, and I am lucky enough to be in Islev Church in R\u00f8dovre, where
\nthere are great colleagues and ensemble singing at a really high level every
\nevery single Sunday. Otherwise, I perform as a freelancer, both as a soloist and
\nchoir singer in many different contexts.<\/p>\n

My own voice really wants to sing quite early music like J. S.
\nBach, and also Mozart is a good fit for me. It's beautiful and eternal
\nmusic, and it requires a light and agile voice, which in turn does not
\nneed to be big and heavy - I'm never going to have any fun
\nWith Wagner, for example. One of my absolute favourite composers for
\nto listen to \u201clive\u201d is Anton Bruckner - it's really big and
\nhard at times, but it's also great when I don't have to
\nSing it! The energy in his lines is simply marvellous.<\/p>\n

There are different ways something can be difficult. The nodes can be
\nfairly straightforward, but on the other hand technically very challenging or
\nJust as often the other way round. If difficult equals uncomfortable and
\nirredeemable, Beethoven's 9th Symphony must be high on the list, although
\nthe music is not complicated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
