The overall legal framework for our processing of personal data is the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, as well as the Data Protection Act L 502 Act on supplementary provisions to the Regulation on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

Members

What personal data do we process?
The Danish Friends Association processes general personal data about your membership. Information you have given us in connection with your enrolment, payment of membership fees, repayment of membership fees and information if you contact us about your membership.

We assign you a membership number to help us manage your membership

Purpose of the processing
The purpose is to manage your membership of the Friends Organisation.

Legal basis
Contractual relationship cf. Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (Membership of the Friends Association).
Pursuit of interests, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation, if the Friends believe they have a legitimate interest in processing data.

Storage period
We keep your data up to one and a half years after the calendar year in which your membership ends. Accountable data is stored for five years after the end of the financial year.

Disclosure of personal data
We disclose information to business partners if necessary, for example to shipping suppliers.

If a public authority requires documentation of the number of members, we can provide necessary contact details of members.

Participants in activities

What personal data do we process?
The Friends do not process general information that you provide in connection with your registration for an activity.

Purpose of the processing
The association only provides a link to the DR website, which manages registration and payment.

Rights and entitlements
According to the General Data Protection Regulation, you as a data subject have a number of rights in relation to the processing of your own personal data. There may be conditions or restrictions attached to exercising these rights, depending on the circumstances.

Insights

You have the right to access the personal data that we process about you. By contacting us (see section 2.1), you can request access to the personal data we have registered about you.

Correction and deletion 

You have the right to request rectification, additional processing, erasure or blocking of the personal data that we process about you. We will fulfil your request as soon as possible, to the extent necessary. If we cannot fulfil your request, we will contact you.

Limitation of treatment
You have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances. Please contact us if you wish to restrict the processing of your personal data.

Right of objection
You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data where the processing is based on Article 6(1)(e) (task in the public interest or exercise of official authority) or Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest). The extent to which we process your data for such purposes is described in this policy. You can exercise your right to object at any time by contacting us.

Withdrawal of consent
If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Your withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before you withdrew your consent. Please contact us if you wish to withdraw your consent.
