Around 150 members of the association had fought their way through the EU summit city to attend the association's general assembly.
The formal part included the Board of Directors' report. The report and accounts are available on the website.
There were no new candidates for the board, so the current board will continue until the next general meeting, to be held no later than November 2026.
The membership fee is also the same for the association year (1 July-30 June) we are currently in.
In the informal part of the ceremony, four honourable mentions were awarded, two from the Symphony Orchestra, one from the Vocal Ensemble and one from the Concert Choir.
It is the colleagues who nominate and therefore their representatives who motivate the reasons for the award.
This time it was the vice president of the orchestra association, Per Friman, who explained why violinist Monika Malmquist Egholm and clarinetist Klaus Tønshoff should be honoured.
Jakob Knudsen Pedersen, chairman of the Concert Choir Association, presented the award to soprano Nina Schmidt, and Rasmus Gravers Nielsen, board member of the Vocal Ensemble Association, presented the award to soprano Christine Nonbo Andersen.
A common theme in all the nominations was that the recipients had high professional levels, but had also contributed to the overall performance of the ensembles.
The four recipients had spoken to each other beforehand and were treated to a great joint music programme, where Monika Malmquist Egholm had brought along the other two members of Trio Ismena, cellist Ida Nørholm and pianist Christina Raft. See the programme and pictures from the awards ceremony here on the website.
The board has received many compliments from the participating members for the beautiful musical programme. The many participants also enjoyed the Swedish church's famous ”kanelbullar”
