Unfortunately, both Milena Nielsen and Emilie Bremholm Sørensen are both leaving the organisation at the end of November. This is because their work for their main employer, DR, has become so extensive that they cannot also take on work with us. They both express their pleasure at having worked for you over the years.
The board has started to work out how we can continue to serve you in the best possible way. You can still write to the Friends' Association at the old familiar address kontakt@drvenneforeningen.dk. We will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible. All but one of our members use email, so it's the safest way to get in touch with us quickly.
So far, we have also been available on the phone three times an hour a week, where Milena has been ready to help. Experience shows that this service has not been used very much, but at least for the rest of the year we will open the phone on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 3-4pm. The newest member of the board, Stig Hother Hansen, will take ”the pipe”, as it was once called.
Our activities will otherwise continue unchanged. Very soon, we will present the spring programme on our website and tell you when DR will open for ticket sales. As you know, DR is responsible for selling tickets for the spring rehearsals with both the symphony orchestra and the choirs. Fortunately, we have been able to fulfil the vast majority of your wishes this season, and there is every indication that we will be able to do the same for the coming season. You will hear more in early December, planned for week 49, starting on 5 December.
At the same time, we thank our members for their support for the association in 2022. It was overwhelming how many came to the general meeting in the Swedish church in Østerbro. This bodes well for 2023.
